My Coventry connection started when Bill was a professional handler and I did health certificates. When they got MeMe, aka Cordeen’s Simply Red, I fell in love with her. They graciously offered to share a puppy, who went on to become Best in Show Champion Coventry Candle N’ the Wynd, ROMX; and if you look back in our pedigree’s Wyndie is behind many of our dogs. Bill and Steve, and later the rest of the Coventry team became my family. I feel my lives’ work is the Corgi’s, and being part of the team has changed my life.
I was born in South Missouri and raised and educated in Kansas. I am a veterinarian, practicing for more years than I would like to admit. Those extra letters at the end of my name mean I am certified in veterinary acupuncture. I have a special interest in small animal reproduction. I practiced in Southern California for some 30 plus years, but after we purchased property for the dogs in Mountain Grove, Missouri and COVID I made the move to Missouri. I never planned to retire in California, I just pushed up the time line. I have a home on the property.
I currently work in a mixed practice doing small town medicine and avoiding much of the large animal part of the practice. It is a lot different than California, but I enjoy it. We have a corgi “Farm” and my spare time involves the dogs and showing, along with enjoying our beautiful state. I enjoy quilting in what spare time I have. Our new community has embraced us, the dogs are happy, and I strive to live my best life every day.
